We had the privilege to adopted Jasper when he was a little kitten. He was so adorable we could not stop holding him and cuddling with him. Jasper learned a lot from his older step brothers Korbel and Bogey they taught him everything they knew about how to live an incredible cat life. Korbel taught Jasper how to ring the strand of bells on the back door then go around to the front door to surprise his family. Also where to hang out on the deck basking in the best sun spots. Bogey showed him where to hide under the shrubs to watch the bluebirds and wild turkeys.
Jasper was always by our sides. He built many lego creations over the years with Ethan. Ethan said ” Jasper is my brother” If we were working in the garage, the garden, picking up apples, working in the basement or just coming out of the shower there he was. He wintered in Florida a couple of times but preferred to be home in Vermont. He was a family cat sharing time with his grandparents when they both had cancer so he was a part time therapy cat too!
Grief is Love with no place to go…. We are grieving big time because we loved him big time. How lucky were we to get to share life with that incredible little cat!
Saying goodbye to Jasper was one of the hardest days of our lives. We miss him everyday. He brought so much JOY to everyone. Ethan, Korbel, Bogey and Sune our lizard all had the middle name Andrew. Jaspers star certificate shows his full name. Jasper JOY Andrew Hammond.
Today we light a candle for Jasper on his Birth day. Thank you for 17 purrfect years together Jasper We Love and Miss you so very much.
Rest in Peace our Perfect Persian
