Ama came to us via Big Fluffy Dog Rescue in Nashville, TN after she was pulled out of a shelter in Alabama where she had shown up emaciated, covered with fleas/ticks and having recently given birth. Initially anxious and fearful, she eventually came to understand she would never experience anything but love in her new home. Like so many Great Pyrs, she had her quirks, but we came to work around them and let her live her best life. After eight years with us, she still would not allow anyone else in the house despite how many times they had visited. But outside, she was a love and everyone in the neighborhood loved her and saw her as the gentle soul that she was. She left us with many happy memories and lots of laughs which comfort us now in our grief.
